Meet Chaya

Chaya Munitz, a DONA certified birth doula and founder of Happier Birth Days, providing professional birth support and advocacy in NEPA.

Meet Chaya Munitz, CD(DONA)

For over five years, I have had the honor of supporting families across the Wyoming Valley as a DONA Certified birth doula. To me, birth is more than a clinical event; it is a profound rite of passage that deserves to be met with steady hands and an open heart.

My approach combines evidence-based guidance with intuitive, physical comfort measures. Whether it’s providing emotional reassurance during a long labor or ensuring your voice is heard in a hospital setting, my mission is to create a sanctuary where you feel safe, respected, and fully capable.

As a mother of four, my work is deeply informed by my own lived experiences. I understand the vulnerability and the strength of the birthing room because I’ve been there. This personal perspective allows me to connect with my NEPA clients on a deeper level—balancing professional expertise with the genuine empathy of a peer.

I am here to ensure that when you look back on your birth day, you remember feeling not just supported, but truly celebrated.

Your Journey, Your Strength

As a DONA-certified birth doula, I am honored to witness the incredible resilience and love that families bring into the birthing room. My commitment to you is unwavering: to empower your voice, advocate for your choices, and protect the peace of your birth environment.

Together, we navigate the path of childbirth with intention. From your first steady breath to the moment you hold your baby, I am there to honor your process and celebrate the miracle of your new beginning.
